2. Material
LMI retains the right NOT TO APPROVE
material that is
1.
Material that is repeated over and
over again
2.
Not at the standard quality i.e.
poorly lit, bad sound, not explained well
enough etc…
3.
Published in full at other sites with
available tabs (Read 3 and 4)
3. Intellectual Property Rights
You retain all of your ownership rights for
your teacher Submissions and may use them
offline i.e. Books, DVD’s etc… However, by
submitting the Teacher Submissions to LMI
you are not allowed to post the lesson in
full anywhere online while in use as
material for LMI.
Reasons:
1.
No one makes money. Teachers work
hard and should get paid to do what they do…
2.
Students will get upset if they find
free material in full that they are paying
for. (Read section 4)
4. Marketing Your Material Online and
becoming an AFFILIATE!
We know you must have a pretty good
following (that’s what caught our attention)
so we don’t want you to change anything but
follow these guidelines:
1.
Post highlights of the lesson on
youtube, blogs, myspace etc… and link back
your profile on SAMI
2.
Post the performance part of the
lesson and link back.
3.
Blog about your lessons with a link
back
As a teacher you will have a special link to
your SAMI profile i.e.
www.samilessons.com/guitar/yourname This
is also your affiliate link (Read Below)
AFFILIATE Program
– When we add you as a SAMI teacher we will
create an account for you to become an
affiliate as well. Whenever linking back to
your profile you will use your affiliate
link. If a student signs up that were sent
by you:
1.
You will receive 30% commission of
all sales as well as every month the student
remains a member.
a.
Monthly Package at 29.95 you’ll make
$8.95
b.
3 month package $20.98
c.
6 month package $41.95
You will be paid in the same manner as the
being a teacher… So on top of the lesson
payments you’ll make money sending over your
fans!
5. Copyright and Content Policy
We hate the fact that as teacher we can’t
create lessons built around songs. Well as
of now there is certain artists/publishing
companies/record companies that search the
internet to find material they want removed.
LMI will allow posting of material “In The
Style of” a certain artist or song. Here are
some guidelines to follow.
1.
Always Label the title of the song
“In The Style Of”
2.
If at all possible and you can change
up the tune a little – different riff’s,
progressions, melody etc… That helps us get
around this huge problem.
6. Lesson Removal and Copyright Info.
If we are asked to remove a lesson due to
copyright issues we have no choice but to do
so immediately. As the publishing teacher
you will keep all your commission made up to
that point for the lesson.
7. Payment structure for Teacher
Submissions.
Payout:
-
Videos must be at least 3 Minutes long
and no longer than 15 Minutes

For
each Approved Video Lesson the teacher
will be paid a flat Fee
Of $40.00
-
Payment is sent
immediately
the lesson is live on the site.
How The Residual Payment (Royalty) Works:
Example -
350 students view your lesson (equaling 350
view credits .15 X 350 = $52.50) at the end of the month you'll
receive a payment of
$52.50
just for that one lesson.

1.
The Lessons
-Lessons must be at least 3 minutes long and
no longer than 15 minutes in length. If they need to be
longer you can extend into parts 2, 3, 4, 5,
etc... You'll make more revenue that way and
it won't be information overload for the
students.
2.
Include Printout
– Tab or chord charts.
3.
Payments
are sent immediately once the lesson is live
on the site. Create as many lessons as you
like. You'll be paid the flat rate fee
the instant the video is live.
4.
Payouts for royalties
are paid the 5th of every month for the
previous month
Teachers can track their credits when
logging into their profile.
8. Termination
Either party has the right to terminate the
relationship at anytime with a 30 day
notice. Lessons will remain on the site for
90 days to allow a suitable replacement.
